Drew founded HD back in 2018 and has over 18 years’ experience within both the UK and US construction industries working with large multi-national consultancy practices. Drew has extensive experience across a broad range of industry sectors including residential, commercial, hospitality and pharmaceutical / industrial sectors. Client value for money and understanding projects risks are pivotal to the role Drew plays for his clients.

Steven joined HD in 2021, bringing with him a wealth of expertise in Quantity Surveying and Project Management. Having qualified as a Chartered Quantity Surveyor, Steven began his career specialising in this discipline before naturally transitioning into Project Management, where his proactive and hands-on approach has truly shined. Over the past decade, Steven has seamlessly blended both roles, offering a comprehensive skill set to his clients.
Steven’s experience spans multiple sectors, including renewables, land-led major developments, housing, higher education, and hospitality. His ability to adapt to a diverse client base and deliver results underscores his commitment to excellence in every project he undertakes.
Steven’s combination of technical expertise and dynamic energy makes him a valued member of the HD team.

Alan joined the business in 2022 and brought with him a wealth of experience in Portfolio, Programme and Project Management.
Originally studying property valuation and development and having worked as a contractor, client and consultant Project Manager he has a broad and varied experience which allows him to support a wide and varied client base. Alan strives for delivery excellence and works across a broad range of industry sectors.

Andy joined HD in a consultancy capacity in January 2024 as a Strategic Adviser and his role covers guidance in project management as well as business management and supporting company growth.
He has over 35 years of industry experience and was previously a Director for a major multinational construction consultancy, with specific Lead Director responsibility for operations in Scotland and Northern Ireland, as well as being a prominent member of their UK Project Management Board.
His project delivery experience and expertise covers a wide range of sectors, and includes major projects such as the OVO Hydro Arena Glasgow, and the 2014 Commonwealth Games Village, where he fulfilled the role of Project Director.
He currently holds, or has held, a number of Non Executive Director roles, including Chair of Built Environment Smarter Transformation, Advisory Panel Member for the Belfast Linen Hall 2 project, and Construction Adviser to the Court of Edinburgh Napier University.

Harry established the business in 2018 with Drew.
Bringing his experience of over 50 years in consultancy, he set up the financial and management systems for HD and has run them since.
During this period, he supported business growth to its present size. He is still on hand as a consultant providing a senior business advisor role and mentoring to the cost management team.
He brings extensive business experience from his time as Partner, Managing Partner and Operations Director of a large multi-disciplined construction consultancy as well as from his many and varied volunteer roles.
Bringing his knowledge and experience of quantity surveying/cost management, employer’s agent, development appraisal, development fund monitoring and even a little project management and dispute resolution over a wide variety of construction projects, he also supports all technical aspects of the business.

Jack joined HD in April 2023 and brought with him strong experience in Cost Management and IT Skills alongside experience in Building Surveying/ Project Management.
Earning his degree in Quantity Surveying at Glasgow Caledonian University in May 2021, he has gone on to support/ manage clients and projects in wide ranging sectors such a residential, drinks/distilleries, commercial, industrial, education, aviation and secure facilities.

Eilidh Joined HD at the beginning of 2024 as a Graduate Project Manager. Her core skills lie within the discipline of project management following the successful completion of her Honours Degree in Construction Management.
Prior to working with HD Eilidh had worked with a main contractor. She has since joined HD with great enthusiasm and has enrolled in HD’s RICS APC Programme. She has proven to be a quick learner and is rapidly becoming a valuable member of the Project Management team. Eilidh has supported the wider team with project management, contract administration, project controls and risk management.

Christine joined HD in 2022 to assist in the day-to-day business administration and bookkeeping duties – having held many managerial positions throughout her career within the office and retail sectors. Christine came out of early retirement to support HD in their business growth and ensures governance throughout all of HD’s operations.

Iain joined the business in 2024. Having worked in both private practice and residential property development, Iain brings Quantity Surveying, Contract Administration and Project Management experience to the company. His day-to-day involvement in construction management from working on multiple residential projects is a valuable asset to the company in delivery of these projects.
Iain is dedicated to providing the best possible service to clients and strives to deliver projects in a timely manner and within agreed budgets.

Sarah joined HD in 2024 specialising in quantity surveying following graduation from Edinburgh Napier in 2020.
Sarah has gained experience in many sectors including residential, education, leisure, aviation and working within listed buildings. Sarah is enrolled within HD’s RICS APC Programme and is progressing towards her final assessment in the near future.

Rebecca joined HD at the beginning of 2025 as a Senior Project Manager. With a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture and a Masters in Spatial Planning & Urban Design, she has a broad range of experience of managing and delivering projects across multiple sectros including education, aviation, master planning and residential sectors.

Ian joined HD at the beginning of 2025 as a Senior Project Manager. Ian is a MRICS Chartered Building Surveyor with over 10 years Project Management experience and has acted as Employers Agent / Contract Administrator delivering projects across multiple sectors including Leisure, Commercial, Industrial and Retail with project values up to £25m.
